1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Valideefy ("Service"), operated by Valideefy ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Valideefy provides email verification services, including single email verification, bulk verification via file uploads, and API access. The Service checks whether email addresses are valid, deliverable, and safe to send to — without sending actual emails.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Credits and Payments

• The Service operates on a credit-based system. Credits are consumed when emails are verified.
• New accounts receive a one-time bonus of free credits upon registration.
• Credits are purchased through Stripe and are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.
• Catch-all and unknown results do not consume credits.
• Duplicate emails within a single bulk job do not consume additional credits.
• Purchased credits do not expire.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or decompile the Service.
• Use the Service to verify email addresses for the purpose of sending unsolicited bulk email (spam).
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
• Exceed rate limits or abuse the API in a manner that degrades the Service for others.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without prior written consent.

6. Data Handling

Email addresses submitted for verification are processed in real time and are not stored permanently. Verification results associated with your account are retained for your reference and can be downloaded or deleted. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

7. API Access

API keys are provided for programmatic access to the Service. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure. We reserve the right to revoke API keys that are misused or compromised.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from Service downtime.

9. Accuracy Disclaimer

While we aim for the highest possible verification accuracy, email verification is inherently probabilistic. Results should be used as guidance, not guarantees. We are not responsible for bounced emails or deliverability issues that may occur despite our verification results.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Valideefy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that is harmful to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Canada.
